If you or someone you love has been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness or is receiving end-of-life treatment or palliative care, being provided with the help, treatment and support you may need, in your own home, can be comforting. Adapted Living Solutions were designed to ensure that everyone has access to dignified end of life care at home they deserve.
How can end of life care impact your life?
We’ve seen first-hand the impact that end of life care can have both on the individual and their loved ones. Losing the ability to carry out everyday tasks, including getting in and out of bed comfortably or maintaining personal hygiene, can be challenging at best, and deeply demoralising at worst.
Couple the restrictions on everyday life with the prospect that the person may have to remain in hospital due to their home being an unsuitable environment for them to receive the treatment they’ll need, it’s easy to see how this will have a significant impact on their self-esteem and the mental health and wellbeing of their loved ones.
How can we help with end of life care?
Stephen and Emma, who founded Temporary Solutions Group, have had a clear vision for the business from the outset. That vision is to help the people who need it most, even if that means creating a brand-new product to meet the specific requirements of that individual or family.
In times of crisis, we want our products and solutions to be the thing you can depend on no matter what happens.
This ethos led our team to create our Adapted Living solutions, a suite of whole-home solutions that prove invaluable to customers with restricted mobility, disabilities or those who require specialist treatment and end of life care.
Our solutions enable patients in hospital to return home when it would otherwise prove impossible, and this is something we are extremely proud of.
We’ve worked closely with the NHS, Occupational Therapists, Case Managers and Carers to identify the things that would act as barriers to patients leaving hospital and living their lives in their own homes surrounded by their loved ones and creature comforts, to make sure that those barriers become a thing of the past.
Below are some of the solutions that our customers are already benefiting from, however, if you don’t see your specific solution, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our friendly team who will be able to create a bespoke solution that is tailor-made for your specific requirements.
Adaptive Bathroom Extension

Our Adaptive Bathrooms act as seamless extensions to your property and can include everything you may need to return home. All of our Adapted Bathroom Extensions are wheelchair accessible, Doc M compliant, heated and fully insulated to provide a comfortable washing area without compromising on functionality.
We have ensured that customers have access to single level washing facilities and any mobility aids including hoists can also be provided for the duration of your hire period.
Adaptive Bedroom Extension
Our Bedroom Extensions provide an excellent solution for those who require adaptations to the home that facilitate single-story living. Each of our Adaptive Bedrooms includes the option to integrate specialist equipment to assist with treatment and provide a comfortable environment for those who require palliative care.
As with any of our solutions, our Adapted Bedroom Extensions are available in a wide range of sizes and floor plans and we can create a bespoke solution to help you maximise the space you require at your property.
Adaptive Kitchen Extension

We know that the kitchen is the heart of the home and our Adaptive Kitchen Extensions ensure that remains the case, even if you have a life-limiting illness or suffer from restricted mobility.
A sink, fully functional oven, fridge and freezer are all included, pans and other essentials that you would expect to find in your kitchen at home can also be provided. Not only are the Adaptive Kitchens functional but places you want to spend time with your family and friends, just like you would in a traditional kitchen.
If you use a wheelchair, we can also lower kitchen worktops and appliances to make everything accessible and single height!
